What do I need to use playvertise?
Just an internet-capable screen (for example a laptop with a display connection, digital signage screens, or TV sets with a browser). No special technical effort, no installation.
Do my customers need an app or a sign-up?
No. Participants start the game simply via their smartphone browser using a QR code. No app, no download, no registration. Easy access, maximum participation rate.
Can I use the games purely on mobile, without a screen?
Yes. All single-player games are also available as a mobile-only version, entirely without a screen. People play directly on their own smartphone. This way the games can be used, for example, via a QR code on flyers, in social media, in newsletters, or on landing pages, as well as for many other activations.
What is the screen version intended for?
The screen version runs on a large display that participants control with their own smartphone via QR code. Typical settings are Digital out of Home (DOOH) and trade shows or events.
How long does it take to set up a game?
Our ready-made game modules are ready to use right away. We also implement custom adjustments and special developments promptly on request.
Which game mechanics does playvertise currently offer?
We currently offer a wide range of game mechanics to choose from, including a prize wheel, quiz, memory, Jump&Run, and much more. We are also happy to develop custom mechanics tailored to your campaign.
Can I add my own content and branding?
Yes, every game module can be branded individually. We integrate your brand colors, logos, and preferred copy without any trouble.
How many people can take part at the same time?
Theoretically an unlimited number. Our solution is scalable. Whether single participants or a large audience, playvertise supports your campaigns in a playful way.
Which metrics can I measure and analyze?
You receive precise data such as participant numbers, play time, interaction rates, and other important KPIs. After your campaign ends, we provide detailed reports on request, for full transparency and immediate performance tracking.
Is playvertise suitable for outdoor screens?
Yes, playvertise works on any internet-capable screen, whether indoor or outdoor. Use your existing screens for interactive gamification without any trouble.
Do I need a continuous, active internet connection?
Yes, a continuous internet connection is required to run playvertise. It is the only way game content can be loaded, QR codes processed, and real-time data captured. A stable connection ensures a smooth experience.
Can I use playvertise on any screen?
Our solution works on any screen that can open a browser window and establish an internet connection. That can be an ordinary television, an iPad, or a laptop. You are welcome to open our demo links on your preferred device beforehand and test whether the playvertise games play back as intended.
Can playvertise games be played with sound?
We can implement sound, but only on screens that allow a click. This means it is not possible in the digital-out-of-home area.
Which screen formats are supported?
Our games are optimized by default for 16:9 and 9:16 formats and run on them reliably and in full quality. If you are planning a different format or a special solution, just reach out so we can check it for you.
Does playvertise work on touchscreens too?
Yes, our games generally work on touchscreens just as they do on regular screens. Since control happens via the player's own smartphone, no touch interaction on the screen itself is required.
Can I decide who wins, or whether anyone wins at all?
Yes, you can set win probabilities freely or use the game purely for entertainment, entirely without prize draws. Custom win logic is also possible on request. Prize payouts do not have to be activated.
Do the screens have to be in a fixed location?
No, playvertise also works on the move, for example on tablets, monitors at trade show booths, or screens on promotion vehicles. All you need is a stable internet connection.
Which browsers are supported?
Our games run on all modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, both on desktop devices and on mobile.
Can assets be changed or adjusted during a running campaign?
Yes, for a surcharge per hour or on your own via the backend.
Is there a way to redirect to a website or landing page after the game ends?
Yes, after each session a follow-up link can be embedded on the participant's smartphone, the so-called controller. It appears on the game-over screen together with the high score or a possible prize. This lets you specifically point players to landing pages, online shops, or further campaigns.
Can I design the game entirely in my corporate design?
Yes, with the optional white-label add-on package we design the game entirely in your corporate identity, including logo, colors, fonts, and other brand-specific elements. So we can implement your CI as well as possible, you receive an info sheet from us in advance listing all required assets and file formats. As soon as we have the materials, we take care of the design for you.
Does playvertise also handle the graphic design of my game if needed?
In principle, individual design by our team is possible. This service is optional and is offered separately depending on the effort involved. If you are interested, feel free to contact us directly. We review your requirements and put together a suitable offer.
Do the playvertise products also work abroad?
Yes, playvertise can be used worldwide. Wherever a screen with an active internet connection is available, our games can be accessed and used without any trouble, regardless of location.
I would like to embed one of the playvertise games on my website. Is that possible?
Yes, embedding on your website is generally possible. Beforehand, you should clarify how the game will be controlled, either as usual via smartphone with a QR code, or alternatively directly with mouse and keyboard on the computer. Depending on the desired setup, we adjust the technical implementation accordingly. Feel free to reach out so we can find the best solution together. Note: currently only on the desktop website. On mobile, a touch solution has to be implemented.
Is it possible to provide the entire game wording in another language?
Yes, a full translation of the game into English is readily available and can be selected directly in the system. For additional languages, just reach out and we are happy to check. The translations have to be provided.
Can I use a game multiple times, for example for different events or locations?
Yes, within the booked license term the game can be used as often as you like, whether at multiple events, at changing locations, or in different stores. Content can be adjusted flexibly.
Can several people access my game's backend at the same time?
There is one account per customer, which can be shared. Assigning multiple users to one company is not yet available at the moment.
Can I adjust the win probabilities during use?
Yes, adjustments are possible. Contact us so we can discuss the best approach together.
Is an offline game without an active internet connection possible?
A purely offline solution is currently not available, since a local network of some kind is required to connect to the screen.
Do screens work in very bright conditions?
That depends on the specific screen. Feel free to reach out so we can check suitability.
How much are the shipping costs for delivery to Austria?
There are no shipping costs.
Is personal data collected?
That is up to you: our solution works anonymously by default and is 100% GDPR-compliant. If you wish, for example for prize draws or lead generation, participants can voluntarily and transparently provide their data. This way you benefit flexibly from additional marketing insights, without being obligated to collect any data.
Can I set up playvertise myself, or do I need support?
Our products are designed to be set up and used easily without any technical background. In most cases, no support is necessary. For questions or special requirements, we are of course always reachable and happy to help.

Technical Support

Which CMS systems does playvertise run on?
In principle on all systems that allow web content. Specifically supported are Grassfish and Yodeck, among others.
The game resolution is displayed incorrectly, what can I do?
Game resolution can vary by screen. A minimum width of 1080 pixels is set for the games. For smaller screens, we have to adjust the entire game.
What is the minimum internet speed required at the location?
At least 10 Mbit/s.
Is there support if something does not work during use?
Yes, for booked campaigns or events our team is available at any time, either in advance or during the live deployment. If needed, we can also grant remote access.
I tested playvertise on my computer, but the game or the QR code is displayed incorrectly. What could be the reason?
In most cases this is due to network settings or firewalls that block certain content in offices or even at home. We recommend opening the game outside your current network for a test, for example via your smartphone's hotspot connection. If the problem persists, feel free to contact us and we will take a closer look.

Orders & Payment

Can I still cancel my order?
It depends on the timing. In an early phase, a down payment of 10% applies.
How short-notice can I book and start a game?
In many cases we can set up and activate a game within a few business days. Depending on the complexity or degree of customization, it may need a little more lead time. It is best to contact us directly for an assessment.

Pricing & Costs

What are the costs and how does billing work?
We offer individual packages, from a single event to a permanent installation. Just contact us for an individual, no-obligation offer.
Can I pause a license and reactivate it later?
Yes, licenses at playvertise are billed monthly and can be activated or deactivated flexibly. This way you use the solution exactly when you really need it, whether for single events or seasonal campaigns.
I would like my very own custom game built to my ideas. Do you offer something like that?
Yes, we also offer fully custom game development (custom games) tailored exactly to your wishes and goals. If you want to realize your own game concept, please contact us directly. Together we clarify feasibility, define the schedule, and create a transparent cost estimate.

Privacy & Analytics

Where is collected data stored?
All data is processed and stored on secure servers within the EU. On request, we provide you with insight into your stored data at any time.
Do I receive the contact details of all participants who took part in my booked game?
Yes, at the end of the campaign you receive a detailed report with all sessions, prizes awarded, and, if desired, the contact details of the participants. You can define exactly which data is requested (for example name, email, postal code) individually in the backend beforehand.
May I use participants' email addresses for newsletter marketing?
Using the collected contact details for marketing purposes is only permitted if the participants have expressly consented, for example via a checkbox to sign up for the newsletter during the game. playvertise offers the option to integrate such consents in a GDPR-compliant way directly in the game. Without active consent, the data may not be used for advertising purposes. When playvertise passes data on to the customer, a data processing agreement is required.

Delivery & Shipping

Is there a right of return after booking a game?
Since playvertise is a digital service, performance usually begins immediately after booking, for example through individual setup or activation of the game. A subsequent right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. Should there be technical problems or justified complaints, we do everything we can to find a fair and accommodating solution together.
Can I still cancel a booking before the campaign starts?
Yes, cancellation is generally possible as long as the campaign has not yet been activated or individually set up. Depending on the time of cancellation, work already done (for example design or configuration) may be charged on a pro rata basis. It is best to get in touch with us early, and we will review the options together.
I booked a game with a two-month license. Can I swap all content and assets during the term?
Yes, for the same brand this is possible. We also offer attractive annual packages for agencies, where for example a prize wheel can be changed flexibly.
Can I also buy or rent screens directly from you?
We do not offer our own screens for sale or rent. In the Vienna area, however, we work with a partner company that provides various mobile screens. These can be picked up and returned there directly, or delivered and collected by us. Feel free to reach out.
